1 inch lowering kit for the new Yamaha FJ-09. Lowers the rear suspension and the seat height by 0.8″ inch.Excellent modification for shorter riders who might find the bike to tall to reach to the ground properly with both feet.  Lowering the bike lowers also the center of gravity making the bike easier to balance. When the rear suspension is lowered the front wheel trail increases. This makes the bike more stable at high speeds but the bike will steer in to corners slightly slower. The front forks are therefore lowered by moving the forklegs upwards in the triple clamps – this reduces the front wheel trail and the bike will handle as close to now from factory as possible. It is not necessary to shorten the side-stand when fitting this lowering kit.
